STORY
After years of playing football and track, then gaining weight working full-time post-college, Coach Kevin Kim discovers CrossFit at 200 lbs and 31% body fat. The first workout changes everything.
Kim drops 45 pounds and 20% body fat through consistent training. He becomes a certified CrossFit therapist and is named head coach at a box in East Hollywood.
In 2017, Coach Kim founds K2 CrossFit at 3910 Wilshire Blvd — a serious training facility built for serious athletes in the heart of K-Town, Los Angeles.
Coach Kim crosses the finish line at the LA Marathon — proof that CrossFit fitness translates across every athletic domain.
Kim wins Fittest Korean Masters 40–44 at the CrossFit Games Home Open. International recognition for the work being done at K2.
Kim coaches an athlete to the 2022 CANWEST Games RX Champion title.
A K2 athlete reaches the CrossFit Games Semifinals under Coach Kim's programming.
K2 CrossFit takes the Open Affiliate Championship three times — cementing its reputation as the strongest box in K-Town.
Kim coaches another athlete to the WZA SoCal International Championship title.
Kim competes at the HYROX Anaheim event in the Pro Masters division. The gym's identity as a HYROX-focused box is locked in.
K2 CrossFit is now a complete training and recovery facility — CrossFit, HYROX programming, sauna, NormaTec, hyperbaric oxygen, and a community of athletes who push each other every day.
